“Can You Praise The Savior For How He Blessed Your Neighbor?”
Part One
7/3/17

Let me begin Part One of this particular devotion by saying that God is in the blessing business.  He can bless who He want to, with what He want to, when He want to, where He want to, and how He want to.  He can and will bestow blessings and favor upon whomever He so chooses to.  No doubt, true believers come to and grow to know that God is the Ultimate Source of our blessings.  The truth of the matter is that if God is or has blessed your neighbor, then that means He’s in your neighborhood.  Because of this, there is a possibility that you could be next in line to be blessed.  The question is, “Can You Praise The Savior For How He Blessed Your Neighbor?”  Think about it until next week.

“Can You Praise The Savior For How He Blessed Your Neighbor?”
Part Two
7/10/17

Last week in Part One of my weekly devotion, I talked about how if God is or has blessed your neighbor that meant that He was in your neighborhood.  Also, in closing I raised the important question, “Can You Praise The Savior For How He Blessed Your Neighbor?”  When I think about it, my mind goes back to growing up as a boy in Birmingham, Alabama.  In my neighborhood, I didn’t get mad, sad, or upset because the man who drove the popsicle truck didn’t come down my street or in front of house first.
The fact that I heard the music playing from the truck, which was sometimes a few streets away or over, I begin to get happy and excited because I knew he was in the neighborhood and it wouldn’t be long before he would be coming down my street.  I wasn’t jealous, angry or upset that other people purchased and received their ice cream or popsicle before me.  It really gave me time to run in or back to my house to ask for some money to buy a popsicle.  In like manner, sometimes God gives us time to prepare and get ready for our blessing.  Have you ever thought about it, God may be getting you ready for a blessing you can’t handle right now in your life?  Are you appreciative and grateful for how He’s already blessed you?  Are you grateful for how He’s blessed or is blessing others?  Are you being Grateful or Hateful?  Think about it until next week.

“Can You Praise The Savior For How He Blessed Your Neighbor?”
Part Three
7/17/17

The truth of the matter is, some people can’t stand to see other people get blessed.  They have a problem with it.  I believe that there have been times when such people were next in line to be blessed by God.  Because of their negative attitude of being jealous and envious, God moved them to the end of the line or in some cases moved them out of the line.  Because they could not stand for someone else to be blessed, they held up, prolonged or in some cases forfeited their blessing.  It’s appalling how some people become jealous and envious of others.  That person or persons who they are jealous and envious of would not have what they have if God had not blessed them with it.

First of all, you shouldn’t have a problem with how God has blessed someone else because once again God can bless who He want to, with what He want to, when He want to, where He want to, and how He want to.  He can and will bestow blessings and favor upon whomever He so chooses to.  However, if such a person has a problem with it, why not take it up with God rather than being jealous and envious of the person in whom He blessed.  Such people will even go to other people with questions and conversations such as: How he got this and how she got that? I wonder sometimes, have such a person ever heard of God’s Grace?  Whether the person has been faithful to and or fruitful for God, the Father, it’s because of the Father’s favor that they are blessed like they are.  No wonder the songwriter said “The Devil don’t like it cause I’m blessed like that.”  Think about it until next week.

“Can You Praise The Savior For How He Blessed Your Neighbor?”
Part Four
7/24/17

As we have come to my last weekly devotion for this month, the Word of God teaches us that when one of us rejoice or is honored, we all should rejoice (1 Cor. 12:26).  There were even times in the Word of God when the Lord had blessed someone and others started celebrating, rejoicing, and giving God glory and praise.  Then too, there were times in God’s Word also when some people got mad and angry.  Many times it was some of the religious folks.  This is why we need to have a personal relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ.  Which of the two categories describe you?  When was the last time you became happy and excited over another person’s blessing or have you never gotten happy or excited about another person’s blessing?  It is God who ultimately gets the glory but don’t hate on another person’s glory.  If you do, you probably don’t know their story.  You don’t know what they have been through to get to where they are now.

If you have not done so, mature in the faith and learn how not to be jealous or envious of people in life period.  Learn how to genuinely rejoice over another person’s blessing or blessings.  You just might be next in line to be blessed.  Your attitude will determine your altitude, latitude, and longitude.  Your decision will determine your destiny.  Don’t be your own enemy.  Don’t stop, block, or hinder your blessing or blessings by being negative about other people’s blessing or blessings.  Praise The Savior For How He’s Blessed Or Blessing Your Neighbor.

“Can You Praise The Savior For How He Blessed Your Neighbor?”
A Final Word
7/31/17

As a recap and reminder, in this last devotion for this particular month, God is in the blessing business.  The fact that He has or is blessing your neighbor is an indication that He’s in your neighborhood.  The reality is, what He has done or is doing for others, according to His Will, Way, and Word, He can do the same or even more for you.  Perhaps for someone who may need to be reminded and encouraged, God has not forgotten about you.  Learn how to appreciate what you already have and be patient and positive toward God.

Rather than Hate on your neighbor for how they have or are being blessed, be Happy for and with them.  Rather than being Jealous of them, be Joyous and Jolly for and with them.  Then too, rather than being Envious of them, get and be Excited for and with them.  God just might be testing you to see if your attitude and actions are positive toward someone else’s blessing or breakthrough.

You never know, your Genuine, Authentic, and Positive Response may result in God Rewarding you with a Blessing and a Breakthrough.  Remember, you can’t fool or deceive God.  It just might also be your season for an even higher level of grace and favor.  In closing, don’t just be a hearer of God’s Word, be a doer of His Word (James 1:22). Even in having the right attitude, don’t just Amen it, Apply and Actualize it in your everyday life.  His blessings will overtake you.  Don’t Hurt Yourself, Help Yourself.  Don’t Punish Yourself, Position Yourself to be blessed.
